How to protect yourself against plagiarism

Have you ever heard about Copyscape? Copyscape.com offers a free online service that allows you to search for duplicate content.

If your website is particularly doing well on the search engines results page for your targeted keywords, it’s possible that some people have liked what they read on your site and might have stole some of that rich content.

Why? Probably because they don’t like to write or they think they could rank high too for the same keywords … Whatever the reason, stealing content from another website is WRONG and you could end up in trouble … if the author has proof that he or she is in fact author of the original content.

To protect yourself against plagiarism, you can start by placing a free Copyscape banner on the index page or your website. This will warn people from stealing your work and imply that you are regularly checking if your content has been illegally copied.

Search engine indexation

This is the main battle field for all SEOExperts around the world to fight for being number 1 or at least top 20 of the world. The top three of search engines Company are Yahoo, MSN, & Google. There more over than 350 search engines on the world wide web but sometimes smaller search engines are fed from the big daddy i.e. their database are retrieved from somewhere else. The moral of the story is being indexed on the three major search engines such as Yahoo, MSN, & Google are more profitable and effective than fighting more over 300 battle fields.

Why is it better to be listed on the major search engines?

Each search engine has their way to collect informational data & store it within their giant datacenter. Yahoo, MSN, & Google are most known for stable datacenter network and capable to give you more updated & informational listings where other smaller search engines may not have or not capable to do so. Smaller search engines may not have updated data they way Yahoo, MSN, & Google do. It takes so much effort to keep search engines data fresh at all time. So, where you are being indexed is MATTER!

Our senior SEOExpert, Mike Wilson, always say “PICK YOUR BATTLE!”
Once you sure, then we know where we are going, what kind of fight we are going up to, whose your competitor, and way more effective than having battle on 300 different fields.
