The above example is an exaggerated mockery of how some people might write content surrounding any combination of the key phrase ‘Happyville blue widgets’. Writing spammy content such as this in an attempt to fool search engines into “believing” a web site is about blue widgets in Happyville or any other key phrase might have worked years ago, and still might today for extremely non-competitive keywords, but for the most part, if you want your site to rank favorably for any subject, write about it, don’t pretend to write about it.

You’re selling blue widgets in Happyville huh? What type, for what uses, for how much, do I really need one? If so then why? How many types of blue widgets are there, and which ones would be suitable for which occasion?
