Google Co-Op

Google Co-op is a platform that enables you to customize the web search experience for users of both Google and your own website.

What is it anyway?

It is a Google customized search engine where you can harness the power of Google to create a search engine tailored to your needs.

  • Create your own search engine, powered by Google Search Index.
  • Deliver specialized search results.
  • Help users refine their searches.

I’ve done a run test for myself but of course I’m not using www.searchengineoptimizationcompany.ca domain name as the profile but it doesn’t matter what which domain name you use, it will perform the same way :) . Since it is a run test to see what features behind it, I do not want to take a big risk before I am sure what it is all about. I want to avoid negative impacts on the searchengineoptimizationcompany.ca, therefore I’ve chosen different domain name to run my test. In summary, you can add a “Custom Google Search toolbox” into your website by using Google Co-Op profile data where it specifies and include website addresses based on triggered keyword search phrase within your Google Co-Op Site Profile. Working in reverse, you may exclude website address from your custom Google search :) .

It will refine your searches but in my opinion it helps us not to lose track of our favorite websites especially when it loses good positioning on the main Google Indexation. Through your custom search, it will keep your listed domain names appear on the SERP. It’s your Co-Op profile and Google respects it ! :)
