Internet Marketing Secret – SEO Company Part 2 – Wide Open.

Since SEO and internet marketing closely relate to each other, SEO being a form of internet marketing, I decided to talk a bit more on the topic of internet marketing and how to learn from other internet marketers.

Disclaimer:

By using the term “internet marketing secret” through out the copy I am not implying to any author or a book, rather talking in general terms. Whenever the phrase is used, I am mentioning the keyword searched on web “internet marketing secret” by a number of people.

In my previous article I’ve covered the essentials of internet marketing, the importance of knowing your customer base, their personality and how to craft a copy towards that personality. In this article I wanted to cover the so called internet marketing secret. As you Google the phrase “internet marketing secret” you will be greeted with a number of gurus, unveiling those secrets for you for a round figure, of course the secret of their internet marketing, is the word secret itself.

There are no secrets anywhere in internet marketing and anything can be obtained by spending some time and effort researching. There are countless portals dedicated to internet marketing as well SEO and a number of really good books presented by some insightful individuals, but as you are greeted with the phrase “internet marketing secret” you are being presented with the tactic, where the author uses the word secret to lure you in.

Attention
Interest
Desire
Action

By shooting the phrase “internet marketing secret” the author grabs your attention, with no so much of a secret under the cover of the pages. The best and the most practical thing you could do in this case, as opposed to grabbing your credit card – take a step back. Study the copy. Did internet marketing secret grab your attention? If so, spend a minute thinking about your goal in this search and your personality.

How effective that headline was?

Now that you are not in rush and have shaken off that first hungry desire to read, go on through the rest of the copy with a critical eye. The first and foremost rule of the successful internet marketing copy it has to correspond to the desires of the prospect, not the wants and the needs, but desires. The rule applies differently in various situations, depending on a target, but generally a solid copy should imply to it, either heavily or with a simple one line mention corresponding to the target personality.

As you go on reading internet marketing secret tactics, analyze the number of occurrences when the author speaks directly to your desires, how often does he promise you more money and a sporty BMW? Investigate the number of such occurrences:

  • Did he overdo it? Or does it blend very smoothly with all the features.
  • How often features of his work transform into your desire?
  • Does he build trust? Mentions the expertise of so many years harvesting information for this internet marketing secret?
  • If so, are you willing to trust him?
  • A guarantee?
  • Testimonials of the six figure incomes as a result of learning his internet marking secret, do they speak to you or seem unrealistic?

Internet Marketing Secret – The Flow.

Another big aspect to look in such internet marketing secret copy would be the flow. You have to create a very smooth, light flow that carefully builds up to the climax, which is the offer. Having got to the end of the internet marketing secret copy, how willing would you be to swipe the card in a digital checkout? If you are, then he did his job well, if not then think about the aspect that is holding you back.

  • What did he not address?
  • What you would like to hear him address for you to get over the purchase barrier?

If you’ve identified something, jot it down, it will be helpful when you get your hands on writing a copy. Of course a large number of people do not purchase right away, I would have to say the majority, so come back sometime later. How willing you are to do so then?

Another thing to keep in mind – act like a real shopper. Go and study other similar internet marketing secret sales pages, see how well of a job they do convincing you, do a similar analysis and compare.

  • Who did the best job persuading?
  • How did they achieve it?
  • Do they use similar techniques? If so identify it, and write it down – you are on roll to learning the internet marketing secret.

By doing an analysis of such copies you are learning valuable techniques of internet marketing secrets without ever having to spend quite a sum on the products, all very similar in nature and can be obtained for free in this beautiful digital world. Perform some research; there are countless resources that give out such information in an effort to drive traffic, so you can learn quite a lot.

As a summary I want to say to anyone who is on the hunt to learning internet marketing secrets, is to change the criteria of their search from internet marketing secret, since the “gurus’ are simply putting a bet on a powerful word giving out nothing more then the recycled material which is in abundance in the World Wide Web.

After you read a number of those copies, not specifically in “internet marketing secret” field, but in general, you start to build up a filter, so whenever that filter is ready, look for the copy that sells to you, but pierces like a hot knife through butter, even with a filter on – that is where the true value is =) and that’s where I recommend it is time to swipe the card. Scammers, talk about other scammers, scamming people =)

PS

Keep in mind SEO, after all, what good is a copy when no one sees it?

Microsoft Announces Project Gatineau Web Analytics Beta.

Microsoft had announced its plans to launch a beta version of its new web analytics software Project Gatineau. The software is free, however it requires you an Adcenter account, which costs 5$ for initial sign up.

Features include:

  • Click and visitor tracking reports
  • Marketing campaign reporting and conversion tracking
  • Unique demographic and geographic information from your site visitors

Its seems as the Gatineau is to be released in competing efforts against Google’s web Analytics tool , which is available free of charge to anyone managing a website. What does Microsoft has in store to lure analytics customers to its side? So far the biggest gun I am aware of is the demographics analysis available with Gatineau. In this video you can see the hosts spending quite some time discussing this feature and from a marketing perspective it is quite useful. The way Microsoft worked around such a feature is the implementation of the Live ID database into the analytics. Gatineau will be able to access Live ID and harvest the age of the visitor if he/she is register with Microsoft, then the Gatineau will give you a rounded figure as to how old were your visitors. Of course the figures will be pretty rough, since not everyone uses hotmail and there are quite a number of people who were born in 1890, nevertheless it is very useful feature to anyone involved in internet marketing and I would recommend giving Gatineau a try. You can register for a beta test run, or wait until the full version is released, again it will be free of charge just like the Google Analytics tool.
