SEO Content Writing – Search Engine Optimization Copy Writing

SEO Content Writing – Search Engine Optimization Copy Writing

So you’re making a site? Read On.

seo writingHere some outlines of SEO content writing and landing page persuasion elements.

Google loves new, fresh and relevant content. SEO content copy writing is the thing that keeps Google happy and gives free links if it’s worth linking.

Before Starting a Site:

There are a couple of methods to approach this. A number of people will tell you “launch and add SEO writing gradually” while others will advice not to launch unless you have at least 100 pages complete. This one is entirely up to you, but the frame must be in place with general key phrases:

Aim for Old Domain Name.

This is again to your preference. Having old domain with primary keywords can be very helpful in terms of SEO, but beware, it must be something easy to remember. For example: “torontoflights.com” – easy to brand and remember + it has one of the keywords.

While: “cheap-air-flights-toronto.com” is a bit too long and people will have trouble typing that in their browser.

Develop Main SEO Content

This one is pretty obvious – who needs a site that’s empty? Depending on its size, develop main SEO writing for navigation. Having good content and a lot of it will help you down road, as the site starts hitting some rankings.

The Most Wanted Response

This is the key element. What is the purpose of your site? To sell software/goods? To get people to sign up? To fill out a form?

The whole existence depends on this, everything(at least the mainframe) must be devoted to one purpose – getting people to do what it is you want them to do.

This includes navigation, your landers, follow through pages and back up responses. All must be geared towards getting people do what it is you want them to do.

For example: If you create a number of articles for relevancy and uniqueness element, make sure that on the bottom you place link to the page that is designed to persuade/get people to deliver your Most Wanted Response(MWR). This may be a home page, PPC page or other specially designed content page. From each and every content page, link on the bottom to related and to the page of your MWR or page designed to persuade to deliver that MWR.

The Writing Style

On the net writing is like talking. People do not want academic papers, they want a conversation. Imagine your reader across the table and write as you’re speaking to him. Maybe as provocative question, but at all costs avoid corporate gibberish.

The Persuasion Pages

Those SEO content pages are the gold of the site. There are editorial articles, designed to people get what you want from them. This is where you link from other articles, to ensure that the site has the highest CR. There are a number of portals dedicated to teaching how to persuade, inform and extract emotion from readers.

Two of the good places I recommend:

CopyBlogger

GrokDotCom

Look over at their archives, they have very valuable info buried in there.

SEO Content Creation

The other day I was skimming through digital point forums and stumbled on a very interesting and funny concept – article auto creation.

Cut to the point. There was a software(can’t find it now) that claimed it could rewrite any article copyscape proof. it sold for $10 a piece and got rave reviews as it seemed to work.

Down the line there was a post that mentioned it’s workings, which seem very easy.

Take any text put into Google Translator and translate into > French > Spanish > (whatever you prefer) > back to English. The end result is the article that passes copyscape and reads pretty well. Plug in main keywords and some general editing – got yourself relevancy and fresh content.

The first time I saw the software I was laughing for quite a bit and would definitely never do that myself, but a number of SEOs seemed to fall in love with it. From my point of view it’s pretty much perversion of writing, but a number of people are after relevancy and freshness, leaving the most important part behind – user experience.

Disclaimer:

SEO Expert would never use such software or “black” methods, as it’s only to share interesting findings with the world.
