Thanks to all those search engine engineering, who are working harder and harder to create such a sophisticated search algorithm to determine whether our pages are duplicate contents or not. This is genuine question that will arise before you start search engine optimization and we could be over analyzed this matter easily. I would like to ease every optimizer who is worrying about it.

I will take common objective of duplicate contents, which is website blogging, forum discussion or content management system. Most of these website are commonly database driven and generated its pages from administration scripts that use the same website template over and over again within its pages creations. Would the search engine robots see this as a duplicate content?

For E-commerce type of website, I have to keep my inventory list up to date and gives more features information related to the products/services that I am offering.
• Rule of DIVERSITY. When I am looking for products or services, I do not want to be redirected to the same page over and over again with the same words. It bores your website visitor. The more diversity you create on to your web pages, it would helps your website to grow in search engine indexation. Diversity could drive more traffic to you because your returned visitor will increase.

Do not worry about duplicate content. Search engines are better now so you need to focus on how to create better web pages for your website visitor. The more informational your websites, the better your websites are going to be. We do not have to worry or being paranoid towards search engines and put all the blames to them for duplicate content detector. There are reasons if your pages are being flagged as duplicate content.
